Construction update February 2024

Update / Teade # 236

The quiet before the flurry on KESKUS site

The below grade structure for the KESKUS project is concrete and that, as previously reported, is complete. TTC is in the final phase of prep for the waterproofing and remediation of the tunnels, but the KESKUS portion is done. KESKUS above grade construction is steel, over 1000 pieces of it. /// KESKUSe ehitise pinnasest allpool olev struktuur on terassarrusest pakatavast betoonist ja nagu varemgi märgitud, on need betooni tööd lõpuni viidud. TTC on tunnelite hüdroisolatsiooni ja korrastamise ettevalmistustööde lõppfaasis. Ülalpool on KESKUSe konstruktsioon terasest, kokku on neid terasest ose enam kui 1000 tk.

These pieces of steel are in production and will start arriving on site at the end of February and then the schedule looks to be a hotbed of activity until KESKUS opens its doors. /// Need terasetükid on tootmises ja hakkavad kohapeale jõudma veebruari lõpus. Sellega algab vilgas tegevus, mis viib KESKUSe uste avamiseni.

During this wait, the heritage house that was formerly known as 11 Madison Avenue, will get scaffolding up around the east and south walls to get the brick remediation work completed before steel starts to arrive.
